2026 Polish Canoe Marathon Championships: KSC Olsztyn top the medal table

Six national championship gold medals put KSC Olsztyn at the top of the medal table on Lake Ukiel. Admira Gorzów won the most medals overall, with fourteen. The weekend's highlights included two victories for Wiktor Głazunow and a girls' K1 race decided by just two hundredths of a second.

52 clubs and 42 races

The 40th Polish Canoe Marathon Championships and the accompanying National Children's Regatta took place on Lake Ukiel in Olsztyn on 19–20 September 2026. Paddlers from 52 clubs competed in 42 races: 38 national championship events and four children's events.

The results recorded 355 entries across the programme. Of these, 17 were marked DNS (did not start), leaving 338 starts: 308 finishes and 30 DNFs (did not finish). These are totals across all events, not counts of unique paddlers or crews. A paddler or crew entered in more than one event is counted separately each time.

Paddlers from 36 clubs won national championship medals. Including the Children's Regatta, 38 clubs reached the podium — just over 73% of the clubs represented.

This table covers national championship events only. Each podium finish counts as one medal for the club, including in K2 and C2. Clubs are ranked by gold, then silver and bronze medals. This is a medal table, not a points classification.

KSC Olsztyn also took gold through Pola Grabowska in the Children's Regatta. Across both competitions, the hosts therefore finished with seven golds, one silver and two bronzes.

Admira won the most medals, including eight silvers. Four of their runners-up finished less than eight seconds behind the winner, with the smallest margin just 0.02 seconds. In the senior men's K1 short race, Admira took both first and second through Sławomir Siwiec and Wojciech Ratajczak.

Two titles for Głazunow, three medals each for Stasiełowicz and Szczęsna

Wiktor Głazunow of KS AZS-AWF Gorzów won both senior men's C1 events. He completed Saturday's 3.5 km short race in 15:45.96 and Sunday's 21 km race in 1:53:00.28. Admira's Kyrylo Krasinskyi finished second in both, trailing by 7.39 seconds and 1:21.29 respectively.

Głazunow won the C1 5000 m world title in Samarkand in 2024, aged 30, with a time of 25:33.565. A year later, he took bronze over the same distance in Milan in 23:53.73. He also represented Poland at the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games, as recorded in his Polish Olympic Committee profile.

In Olsztyn, Patryk Stasiełowicz of AZS KU Politechnika Opolska finished third in the 21 km C1 race, which included six portages. He was 8:28.22 behind Głazunow. Stasiełowicz ended the weekend with three medals: bronze in both C1 races and gold in the 21 km C2 alongside Mateusz Obacz.

Magdalena Szczęsna of KK Jezioro Tarnobrzeg also won three medals. She took silver in both senior women's K1 races and bronze in the mixed K2 short race. No paddler won more medals across the weekend.

Six KSC Olsztyn titles, five champions

In the longer race, he finished 2.11 seconds ahead of Natan Kociołek of MKS Czechowice-Dziedzice.

Kawka won both junior men's C1 events, recording 18:08.03 in the short race and 1:42:52.49 over 18 km. KSC's other two national titles came through Lena Dąbrowska in the 12 km girls' K1 for paddlers born in 2014, and Ewa Basałygo and Julia Wądołowska in the girls' K2 for the 2013–2014 age group. Six of Astoria's medals came in canoe events, including Blanka Pegza's under-16 women's C1 gold. Czechowice-Dziedzice's Elvira Mykhailova and Sviatoslav Verkhola won the mixed K2 short race, finishing 2.77 seconds ahead of Anna Mielnik and Wojciech Mielnik of Politechnika Opolska.
