Adrianna Kąkol is a world champion in the K4 500 from 2022 and an Olympian from Paris 2024. Born in Kraków in September 2001, she joined KKW 1929 Kraków at eleven and grew into a fixture of Poland's crew boats, while increasingly making her case in the K2 and K1 over 200 and 500 metres. Her arrival at the top was rapid. At twenty she won world championship gold in the K4 500 in Halifax in 2022, sharing the boat with Karolina Naja, Anna Puławska and Dominika Putto, and added the European title in Munich the same season. In 2023 she kept collecting: European Games gold on home water in Kraków — a result that doubled as a defended European title — plus world championship silver in Duisburg. In Paris the Polish K4 500 with Kąkol aboard finished fourth in the Olympic final. The 2025 campaign was among the busiest of her career — 24 starts and eight medals across K1, K2 and K4, from the [Polish championships](/news/88th-polish-canoe-sprint-championships-2025-jakub-stepun-and-adrianna-kakol-lead-the-charge) to world-level regattas. She has not slowed in 2026. World Cup silver in the K2 500 in Szeged, alongside the returning Dominika Putto, headlines a season of 27 starts and four medals — two silvers, two bronzes — as a mainstay of [Poland's squad](/news/kadra-walcz-czerwiec-2026-en) through the [European Championships in Montemor-o-Velho](/news/poland-european-canoe-sprint-championships-2026-borucki-en). The calendar still holds a home World Championships in Poznań (26–30 August).
