René Holten Poulsen is a Danish canoe sprint paddler (born 1988) who competes for the Maribo Kajakklub club. He specialises in the K-1 events over 500 m and 1000 m. He won Olympic silver in the K-2 1000 m at Beijing 2008, and became world champion in the K-1 500 m in 2014 and in both the K-1 500 m and K-1 1000 m in 2015. A four-time Olympian, he has also won multiple European Championships medals.
